Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification & Technical Skills

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university in India.

• Computer & Typing: Knowledge of computer operations with a minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English on computer.

2. Age Limit (as on 01/09/2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 30 years

• Age Relaxation:

  • SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules.

  • Up to 5 years for dependents of freedom fighters.

  • No upper age limit for departmental candidates of the Supreme Court Registry.

Application Fee & Payment Mode

• The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online via UCO Bank payment gateway. Postal applications or offline payment modes will not be accepted.

Selection Process & Examination Pattern

The selection process comprises four stages:

1. Objective Type Written Test (100 Marks | Duration: 2 Hours):

   • General English (including Comprehension): 20 Questions

   • General Aptitude: 15 Questions

   • General Knowledge: 15 Questions

   • Constitutional Provisions Relating to Judiciary: 15 Questions

   • Supreme Court Rules, 2013: 10 Questions

   • Supreme Court Officers and Servants Rules, 1961: 10 Questions

   • Computer Knowledge: 15 Questions

   • Qualifying Marks: 50 Marks. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per incorrect response.

2. Computer Typing Test (50 Marks | Duration: 10 Minutes):

   • Minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. in English.

   • Permissible mistake limit: Up to 3%.

   • Qualifying marks: 25 marks.

3. Descriptive Written Test (100 Marks | Duration: 2 Hours):

   • Comprehension, Précis Writing, and Essay Writing in English.

   • Evaluated only for candidates qualifying the typing test.

   • Qualifying marks: 50 marks.

4. Interview (25 Marks):

   • Qualifying marks: 13 marks. Shortlisting ratio is 1:3 against total vacancies.
