SHIVAJI UNIVERSITY PH.D ADMISSION 2025-26

In view of above, Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D. Programme. For details about the Entrance Test, online application, intake capacity, examination centers, and Ph.D.

Education Qualification:

• Master’s Degree Requirement:
• 1-year/ 2-semester master’s degree after a 4-year/ 8-semester bachelor’s degree, OR
• 2-year/ 4-semester master’s degree after a 3-year bachelor’s degree
• The degree must be from Shivaji University or recognized as equivalent.
• Must have at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.

• 5% relaxation (i.e., minimum 50%) for candidates belonging to (SC/ ST/ VJNT/ OBC/ EWS)

• For 4-year UG degree holders (direct admission to Ph.D.):
• Must have minimum 75% marks or equivalent grade.
• 5% relaxation (i.e., minimum 70%) for candidates belonging to (SC/ ST/ VJNT/ OBC/ EWS)

• M.Phil. holders:
• Candidates with an M.Phil. degree (from Shivaji University or any recognized Indian/ foreign university) with at least 55% marks are eligible for Ph.D. admission.
• 5% relaxation (i.e., minimum 50%) for SC/ ST/ VJNT/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled/ EWS.

• Viva pending case:
• If your M.Phil. dissertation is evaluated and only the viva voce (oral exam) is pending, you are still eligible for Ph.D. admission.
