RRB PARAMEDICAL RECRUITMENT 2026
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have released the official notification CEN No. 05/2026 for the recruitment of various Paramedical Categories. A total of 590 vacancies have been announced across Indian Railway zones for posts such as Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist, Lab Assistant, Health & Malaria Inspector, Radiographer, and others.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications online starting from September 15, 2026, until October 14, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications (as on 14.10.2026)

Nursing Superintendent: Certificate as Registered Nurse & Midwife after completing a 3-year GNM course or B.Sc. Nursing from an INC-recognized institute.

Pharmacist (Entry Grade): Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharm.D from a recognized university and registered under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

Health & Malaria Inspector Gr. II: B.Sc. with Chemistry plus 1-year Diploma/NTC in Health/Sanitary Inspector.

Lab Assistant Gr. II: 12th in Science plus Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or B.Sc. MLT.

Radiographer X-Ray Technician: 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry plus 2-year Diploma/Degree in Radiography / X-Ray Technology.

ECG Technician: 10+2/Graduation in Science with at least 1-year Certificate/Diploma/Degree in ECG Lab Technology / Cardiology Techniques.
Age Relaxation

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years

SC / ST: 5 Years

PwBD: 10 to 15 Years (depending on category)

Ex-Servicemen: Period of service + 3 to 8 years (as applicable)
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The recruitment involves a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification (DV) and a Medical Examination.

Total Duration: 90 Minutes (120 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates using a scribe)

Total Questions: 100 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)

Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

General / OBC (Creamy/Non-Creamy): ₹500 (₹400 refunded after deducting bank charges upon attending the CBT)

SC / ST / ExSM / PwBD / Female / Transgender / Minorities / EBC: ₹250 (full ₹250 refunded after deducting bank charges upon attending the CBT)
