Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) have officially released the Centralised Employment Notice CEN No. 07/2026 for the recruitment of Non-Technical Popular Categories (Under Graduate) posts across various Zonal Railways and Production Units. Eligible 12th-pass candidates can apply online starting from 15th October 2026 to 13th November 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Class 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

• The 50% marks condition is relaxed for SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and candidates possessing qualifications higher than 12th (+2 stage).

• Note: Candidates awaiting final exam results are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)

• Age Group: 18 – 30 Years (Born between 02.01.1997 and 01.01.2009 for UR/EWS).

• Upper Age Relaxation:

  • SC / ST: 5 years

  • OBC-NCL: 3 years

  • PwBD: 10 to 15 years (depending on community)

  • Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules

Application Fee & Refund Details

Fee payment must be made online using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI. Refunds are directly credited to the candidate's Aadhaar-linked bank account upon attending 1st Stage CBT.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three major stages:

1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 questions (General Awareness: 40, Mathematics: 30, Reasoning: 30) for 90 minutes. Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deducted per wrong answer.

2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): 120 questions (General Awareness: 50, Mathematics: 35, Reasoning: 35) for 90 minutes. Candidates equal to 15 times the vacancies will qualify from Stage 1.

3. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination (ME)

(Important: The Typing Skill Test has been dispensed with for this recruitment notice).

How to Apply Online for RRB NTPC UG 2026

1. Visit the unified official portal: rrb.indianrailways.gov.in or rrbapply.gov.in.

2. Click on "Create an Account" and verify your mobile number and email ID with OTP. Complete identity authentication via DigiLocker or Aadhaar.

3. Log in with your credentials and select CEN No. 07/2026.

4. Fill in basic personal, academic, and communication details.

5. Capture a live photograph directly via your webcam/phone camera (with a clear white background and proper contrast).

6. Upload your scanned signature (black ink on white paper, 30–49 KB in JPG format).

7. Pay the applicable examination fee online and download the confirmation slip.
