ISRO Recruitment 2026: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) has published an official notification (Advt No. ISRO ICRB:01 (A-JPA):2026) for the recruitment of Assistants, Junior Personal Assistants (JPA), Upper Division Clerks (UDC), and Stenographers.

📂 Vacancy Details Post-Wise

The total vacancies distributed across various ISRO Centres, Department of Space (DOS) Units, and Autonomous Bodies are as follows:

• Post No. 1: Assistant (ISRO Centres) – 113 Posts

• Post No. 2: Junior Personal Assistant (JPA) (ISRO Centres) – 81 Posts

• Post No. 3: Upper Division Clerk (UDC) (Bengaluru Zone) – 22 Posts

• Post No. 4: Stenographer (Bengaluru Zone) – 10 Posts

• Post No. 5: Assistant (Autonomous Bodies under DOS) – 17 Posts

• Post No. 6: Junior Personal Assistant (Autonomous Bodies under DOS) – 01 Post

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• For Assistant & Upper Division Clerk (Post No. 1, 3, & 5):

  • Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32/10 from a recognized University (completed within the stipulated course duration).

  • Proficiency in the use of Computers.

• For Junior Personal Assistant & Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4, & 6):

  • Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32/10 OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks/CGPA 6.32.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer (or BOAT Apprenticeship Training Certificate).

  • Minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English Stenography.

  • Proficiency in the use of Computers.

2. Age Limit (As on 16.08.2026)

• General / EWS: Maximum 28 Years (Born on or after 17.08.1998)

• OBC: Maximum 31 Years (Born on or after 17.08.1995)

• SC / ST: Maximum 33 Years (Born on or after 17.08.1993)

• Age relaxations apply to Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Serving Govt. Employees, Widows, and Divorced Women as per Central Government Rules.

💰 Application Fee & Refund Details

• Processing Fee: ₹500/- for all candidates initially per application.

• Application Fee (Non-refundable): ₹100/-.

Processing Fee Refund Policy (Only for candidates attending the Written Test/CBT):

• Full Refund (₹500): Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

• Partial Refund (₹400): All other candidates (after deducting ₹100 Application Fee).

• Payment Mode: Online via Bharatkosh e-Payment Gateway (UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card).

📝 Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection will be made based on marks obtained in the Written Test among candidates who qualify in the Skill Test.

1. Written Test (Objective Multiple Choice Questions):

   • Duration: 150 Minutes

   • Marking Scheme: +1 mark for correct answers, -0.25 negative marking for incorrect answers.

   • Qualifying Marks: 50% for UR; 40% for Reserved categories.

2. Skill Test (Computer Literacy Test / Stenography Test):

   • Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio based on written test performance.

   • Skill Test is qualifying in nature.
