Goa Shipyard Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 83 Non-Executive Posts

Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a Schedule ‘A’ Mini Ratna Category I Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has released an official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 09/2026). 

Online applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for 83 Non-Executive  Posts purely on a  Fixed Term Contract (FTE) basis or a period of 3 years (extendable up to an additional 2 years based on requirements). posts purely on a Fixed Term Contract (FTE) basis for a period of 3 years (extendable up to an additional 2 years based on requirements).

Post-Wise Vacancy, Salary, and Age Limit Details

The upper age limit is calculated as on 30.09.2026. 

(Note: Employees are also entitled to Medical benefits, Canteen/Welfare facilities, and Group Personal Accident Insurance as per company norms. Upper age limit after all relaxations cannot exceed 56 years).

Educational Qualification & Experience Criteria

• Technical Assistant Posts: Full-time 3-year Diploma in respective engineering discipline (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Shipbuilding / Instrumentation / Civil) with minimum 2 years relevant experience. (Note: Candidates possessing only B.E./B.Tech without a Diploma are not eligible).

• Junior Supervisor Posts: 3-year Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering with valid 33KV supervisor license or Diploma in Industrial Safety, with minimum 2 years supervisory experience.

• Nurse (Male): B.Sc. Nursing or 2-year Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery with 2 years of relevant experience.

• Trade / Technical Trades (Welder, Fitters, Mechanics): SSC + ITI in relevant trade or Deck/Engine department certification, with minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience (shipbuilding preferred).

• Safety Steward / EOT Crane Operator / 3G Welder / Painter: SSC with relevant ITI/Certification/Diploma and minimum 2 years post-qualification trade experience.

• Steward cum Cook: SSC with minimum 10 years experience in cooking and catering management (Armed Forces Officers' Mess / Naval Ship experience preferred).

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The recruitment selection is conducted in three stages:

1. Written Examination (CBT or PBT):

   • General Aptitude: 25% weightage

   • Trade/Technical Subjects: 75% weightage

Weightage Breakdown:

• Posts 1 to 3 (Supervisors/Translators): Written Test 50% | Skill Test 50%

• Posts 4 to 10 (Technical Assistants & Nurse): Written Test 40% | Skill Test 60%

• Posts 11 to 20 (Trades & Semi-Skilled): Written Test 30% | Skill Test 70%
