ALL INDIA SAINIK SCHOOLS ENTRANCE EXAM (AISSEE) - 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the All- India Sainik School Entrance Examination(AISSEE-2026) for admission to Class VI and Class IX in Sainik Schools/ New Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year 2026-27.
Educational Qualification:
Class 6th:-
- Educational Qualifications:- Candidates should be studying in Class 5th at a recognized school.
Class 9th:-
- Educational Qualifications:- Candidates should be studying in Class 8th at a recognized school.
Age Limit: (as on 31. 03. 2026)
Class 6th:-
- Age Limit : 10-12 years. [Should be born between 01. 04. 2014and 31. 03. 2016 (Both days inclusive)]
Class 9th:-
- Age Limit : 13-15 years. [Should be born between 01. 04. 2011and 31. 03. 2013 (Both days inclusive)]
Exam Pattern:
- Sainik School Entrance Exam for Class 6th and 9th will be held in offline mode, you may get details about the pattern of examination from below.
Class 6th:-
Mode: Offline
Total Marks: 300
Duration: 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes)
Subjects and Number of Questions:
- Mathematics: 50 questions, 150 marks
- General Knowledge (Sciences and Social Studies): 25 questions, 50 marks
- Language: 25 questions, 50 marks
- Intelligence: 25 questions, 50 marks
Class 9th:-
Mode: Offline
Total Marks: 400
Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours)
Subjects and Number of Questions:
- Mathematics: 50 questions, 200 marks
- English: 25 questions, 50 marks
- Intelligence: 25 questions, 50 marks
- General Science: 25 questions, 50 marks
- Social Studies: 25 questions, 50 marks
