AIIMS NORCET 11 Notification 2026: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the official notification (Notice No. 103/2026) for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-11. Online applications are invited for Group-B Nursing Officer positions at Pay Level 07 across various AIIMS institutes and participating government hospitals throughout India.

Vacancy Details

• Total Posts: 2,200+ tentative vacancies reported across 27+ participating institutes/hospitals (including AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Patna, ESIC, NITRD, SJH, Dr. RML Hospital, etc.).

• Gender Quota Reservation: As per the CIB decision, 80% of seats are reserved for Females and 20% for Males across participating AIIMS institutes.

• PwBD Reservation: Applied horizontally across categories as per Government guidelines.

• Stage-I Exam Date (Preliminary): September 12, 2026 (Saturday)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy one of the following criteria from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) / State Nursing Council recognized institute:

1. B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing, registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council. OR

2. Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM), registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council AND minimum 2 years' experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital acquired after completing the qualification.

Age Limit (As of 13.08.2026)

• General Age Limit: 18 to 30 Years

• Age Relaxation:

  • SC / ST: 5 Years

  • OBC: 3 Years

  • PwBD: 10 Years

  • PwBD + OBC: 13 Years

  • PwBD + SC/ST: 15 Years

  • Ex-Servicemen / Central Govt. Employees: As per Govt. rules

Application Fee

• General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 3,000/-

• SC / ST / EWS Candidates: Rs. 2,400/- (Fee for SC/ST candidates who appear in the exam will be refunded post-result declaration)

• PwBD Candidates: Exempted

• Payment Mode: Online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking

Selection Pattern & Scheme of Examination

The selection will be conducted in two successive stages:

1. Stage-I: NORCET Preliminary

• Type: Qualifying Examination

• Duration: 90 minutes

• Questions: 100 MCQs (100 Marks) — 20 MCQs General Knowledge & Aptitude + 80 MCQs Nursing Subjects

• Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark for each incorrect answer

• Sectional Timing: 5 sections of 18 minutes each

2. Stage-II: NORCET Mains

• Duration: 180 minutes

• Questions: 160 MCQs (160 Marks) focusing on case scenario-based questions to test nursing skills

• Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark for each incorrect answer

• Sectional Timing: 4 sections of 45 minutes each

• Merit List: Final seat allocation will be based purely on Stage-II performance.
